Gallop for the Cure Raises $14,000 for Prostate Cancer
DCI Group Hosts Horse Race Event to Benefit NPCC

WASHINGTON, DC - The first Gallop for the Cure, hosted by Washington, DC-based DCI Group, raised $14,000 to fight prostate cancer benefiting the National Prostate Cancer Coalition (NPCC).
"It's essential that we have support from the local community and we're extremely grateful for the DCI Group's investment in the cause," NPCC CEO Richard N. Atkins, M.D. said. "The Washington, DC area has the highest prostate cancer mortality and incidence rates in the world - it's important to raise awareness locally that early detection saves lives."
Gallop for the Cure, held during the Virginia Gold Cup on October 19, brought in a host of sponsors including the American Gaming Association, Aqua Sciences LLC, GTECH, The Herald Group, the Smithsonian and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
More than 30 people attended the catered event taking in a beautiful autumn day highlighted by the area's top race horses and jockeys.
