Applications Developer

Position Summary:

  • Development of the presentation layer for internal and client-related web sites

  • Participate in a small, experienced team on sometimes tight deadlines

  • Contribute product, service, and business-improvement ideas

  • Act as a technical resource for front-end web technologies including CSS, Javascript, DOM, AJAX, PHP, and cross-browser strategies

 

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience or practical coursework in developing end-user Web applications and enthusiasm for creating an outstanding user interaction.

  • Experience or practical coursework in developing dynamic, highly interactive user interfaces for cross-platform, cross-browser web applications -- using JavaScript, CSS and DOM.

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

  • Experience with PHP (preferred) or other web server scripting languages such as JSP, ASP, or Perl/Python.

  • Knowledge of T-SQL and Open Source contributions.

  • MVC Design and object-oriented programming experience.

  • Experience using a source control system such as CVS, Subversion, or Perforce.

  • Design experience and exposure to graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
