When I became DCI’s Chief Digital Officer last October, I knew that I would need a deputy who shares my passion for effective digital communication, a deep knowledge of online public affairs, and strong leadership skills. I’m pleased to say that we found that person in Julie Germany.
Julie recently joined DCI Group as Vice President of Digital Strategy after serving as Director of George Washington University’s Institute for Politics, Democracy, and the Internet. As the organizer of the annual Politics Online conference, she has had her finger on the pulse of the best the industry has to offer. She is well-known and respected throughout the community and brings her extensive network and creative ideas to our clients.
Our 15 person DCI Digital team works with all of our clients to craft integrated online and mobile communications strategies that complement all of the other services and advice our firm offers. We constantly evaluate new tools and look for that “next big thing,” but we don’t lose sight of older, proven technologies that continue to work effectively.
We work to share our knowledge and expertise with our clients and our internal client service teams, but we also believe we have a role to play in educating the broader communications community here in Washington, DC. Julie and I are frequently called upon to speak to groups about a variety of topics, and we will continue to do that, but we will also be creating additional learning opportunities for other professionals.
I’m very pleased to have Julie on our team at DCI Group, and I hope you will help me to welcome her.
(And I should add that we are hiring additional members of our team, so if you’re interested in joining Julie and the rest of my team, please check out the DCI Group Careers page for more information on our openings.)
