Director
Catherine Bray is a Director at DCI Group with a particular focus on European public affairs and policy.
Prior to joining DCI, Mrs. Bray assisted state governments in understanding how global trends affect their policy-making as the Director of International Relations at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a public-private organization that provides research, networking and model legislation for state legislators and as Director of International Programs at the Council of State Governments (CSG). In this capacity Mrs. Bray developed global initiatives including several exchange missions for high-level state officials including Governors. Mrs Bray also served as Staff Director of the State International Development Organization (SIDO), the only national network of state trade directors and professionals that focus on international trade, export promotion and foreign direct investment strategy.
Mrs. Bray is a British national who moved to Washington, DC, in 2007 to raise the U.S. profile of the Atlantic Bridge Group, a non-profit organization founded and Chaired by Dr. Liam Fox MP, current British Secretary for Defense. As U.S. Executive Director, Mrs. Bray assisted in building a U.S. political advisory board and organized the Atlantic Bridge Transatlantic Leadership Exchange program.
Mrs. Bray has extensive experience in strategic alliance building on a variety of issues within North America and across the Atlantic. Messaging and outreach strategies are a large part of Mrs. Bray’s professional history having herself been a local government candidate in the UK and working for seven years for various Members of the European Parliament in Brussels. During this time, Mrs. Bray served as political assistant to two Members of European Parliament and as Chief of Staff to the UK Conservative Whip. Mrs. Bray has spent over a decade working with senior politicians, corporations, academics and the think tank community in Europe and America.
