Chad Horrell is a Director at DCI Group where he manages multi-faceted issue advocacy campaigns focused on federal and state legislative affairs. Building on his experience managing political and advocacy campaigns across the country, Chad develops and executes strategic, broad-based programs designed to help DCI Group’s clients successfully navigate their most challenging public affairs and communications challenges.
Prior to joining DCI Group in 2014, Chad spent three years working in AARP’s headquarters developing and implementing far-reaching advocacy campaigns on a variety of issues, including home energy utilities and AARP’s national conversation around the future of Social Security and Medicare.
Prior to that, Chad spent a decade working on nearly every type of campaign — presidential, senate, gubernatorial, and congressional. He worked on the successful election of Tim Kaine as Governor in Virginia; Blue Dog Democrat Brad Ellsworth’s 22-point victory over a 12-year incumbent in 2006; and a cycle at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2008 where he helped Democrats expand their congressional majority.
Chad is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where he earned an athletic scholarship to play on the golf team and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Abby.
