Geoffrey Basye
Managing Director

Geoff Basye has been active in public affairs and media relations in many capacities since 2001. His background includes time in state government, Congress, the Executive Branch and the private sector.

Mr. Basye recently completed a political appointment in the Bush Administration during which he managed the Federal Aviation Administration’s communications, specifically the agency’s labor contract negotiations with the air traffic controller's union. Soon thereafter, he was promoted to serve as Special Assistant in the office of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Basye served as a Senior Account Executive for a public affairs firm consulting primarily in the financial services and telecommunications industries. He provided strategic media counsel for the NASDAQ stock market, helping to manage their brand, stakeholder relationships and product rollout.

Additional leadership experience includes two years as a communications director in Congress and over eleven years of service in the armed forces. As a First Lieutenant in the Air National Guard, Mr. Basye was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Armed Services Medal, among others.

Mr. Basye is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned Bachelor degrees in both economics and political science. His professional affiliations include the National Press Club and the Public Relations Society of America.
