Kent Lassman
Vice President

Kent Lassman provides clients with counsel on policy, strategic message development and grassroots advocacy. He brings nearly 15 years of experience in policy analysis, non-profit management and grassroots advocacy.

Prior to joining the DCI Group Mr. Lassman served as the vice president for strategy at FreedomWorks with broad responsibilities for issue campaigns and institutional marketing as well as day-to-day management of fundraising.

Mr. Lassman has testified before Congress, state legislatures and in regulatory proceedings. Since 2003, he has served on the President’s Advisory Council for the State Policy Network. Mr. Lassman was also the founding director and on the faculty of the Institute for Regulatory Law & Economics.

Topics of Mr. Lassman’s research, testimony and speeches include federalism, the federal budget, and the rise of the Progressive movement in America as well as a wide range of technology, energy and telecommunications policy issues. From 2001 to 2006 Mr. Lassman served as an advisor to the Task Force on Telecommunications & Information Technology at the American Legislative Exchange Council. He has received fellowships from the Claremont Institute and the John Locke Foundation. Mr. Lassman graduated from The Catholic University of America with honors for work on market theory and holds a master’s degree in public administration from North Carolina State University.
