
Madelyn Lawson
Director Madelyn Lawson is a director in DCI Group’s field services division, managing field operations for state and national legislative issue campaigns. Ms. Lawson’s experience is in public affairs, media relations and corporate communications. Prior to joining DCI Group, Ms. Lawson’s was a director of public affairs for the global communications firm, Burson-Marsteller.
Ms. Lawson’s career also includes political assignments including service as campaign press secretary to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, after managing press relations for Governor Ridge’s Department of Community and Economic Development where the issues included international business development, business tax reduction policies, tourism, a variety of job creation programs and numerous community-based issues.
Ms. Lawson’s public affairs and communications experience extends to the federal government level with service to President George H. W. Bush in the White House Office of Intergovernmental and Political Affairs. Her responsibilities at the White House included outreach to elected officials including mayors, governors and key political officials to support Administration initiatives. Ms. Lawson’s Washington, D.C. experience also includes staff positions on Capitol Hill for Members of Congress from Pennsylvania and Maine.
Ms. Lawson has also served on the staff of two national presidential campaigns, one presidential inauguration and two gubernatorial inaugurations.
A native of Luzerne County in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Ms. Lawson received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Ms. Lawson currently lives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
