Ryan Grillo is a Partner and oversees the firm’s international practice and Brussels office.
Joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Grillo provides strategic counsel and policy advice to multi-national companies on a wide range of issues including: trade, global health, environment and natural resources, non-governmental organizations and civil society, and sustainability and development.
Over his seven years at DCI Group, Mr. Grillo has overseen client activities in Europe, India, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia. His focus has been designing customized, strategic public affairs campaigns, with emphasis on multilateral and civil society policy and the impact of NGOs.
Mr. Grillo has led successful public policy campaigns focused on global health and HIV/AIDS, clean energy, international trade, corporate social responsibility, mining, trade policy and the United Nations. He has been instrumental in guiding the firm’s client work at the UN, including at key international conventions including International AIDS Conferences, WTO Ministerial meetings, the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Framework Convention on Climate Change.
A native of Nebraska and graduate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Mr. Grillo began his career working in the Washington office of U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel. He believes that facilitating successful outcomes for the private sector is key to bringing about increased living standards, new jobs and prosperity for the poor and middle class throughout the world.
