Jim Murphy
Managing Partner and President
Jim Murphy is President of DCI Group. In that capacity he serves as a strategic advisor to Fortune 500 clients and oversees the day to day operations of the firm. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Murphy aided in the construction and management of DCI Group’s field organization – a national network of grassroots, government affairs and public relations operatives – and formerly directed Business Growth Strategies, a division within DCI Group that manages all in-house business development and marketing resources.
Mr. Murphy has over 30 years of experience in politics, government and public affairs, including several years on Capitol Hill working with former U.S. Senator Gordon Humphrey (R-New Hampshire) and senior positions in Bob Dole’s 1988 and 1996 presidential campaigns. He also managed floor operations at the last three Republican National Conventions, and served two years on the staff of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Prior to joining DCI Group, Mr. Murphy ran a successful strategy and management-oriented political consulting practice for 15 years.
Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Harvard College. He and his wife Liz have three children.
