Mr. Peterson directs global issues management campaigns for DCI’s clients and advises senior client management on public affairs strategy. Mr. Peterson has more than a decade of experience in working with clients in the oil and natural gas industry. He and his team specialize in the areas of energy and environmental policy, telecommunications, trade, and financial markets policy. Mr. Peterson has helped lead DCI’s international expansion, and has oversight for this area of the firm’s business.
Prior to joining DCI Group, Mr. Peterson worked in politics. In the 2000 presidential cycle, he served as Iowa Political Director for Senator Elizabeth Dole, and following that, worked on the Bush-Cheney 2000 campaign in Iowa. Mr. Peterson got his start in politics working for Congressman Jon Christensen (R-Nebraska) from 1995-98, serving on the Christensen’s congressional staff in Washington, D.C., and on his campaigns in Nebraska.
Mr. Peterson is a native of Nebraska and a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He and his family reside in Washington, D.C.
