Paul Ryan

Paul Ryan is Partner at DCI Group where he designs and executes comprehensive communications, public affairs, and political advocacy strategies to help clients position their brands and achieve their public policy goals.

Paul specializes in technology policy issues where he has worked closely with senior industry executives for more than seventeen years to develop strategies and manage issue advocacy campaigns in Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and at the state and local levels.

Paul has led DCI Group’s Intellectual Property practice area since its inception in 2011 providing litigation support strategies around complex and high-profile legal proceedings at the District, Federal, and Supreme Court, the International Trade Commission, and the European Commission.

Paul has also supported DCI Group’s clients on a variety of business issues including labor, consumer financial, and tax policy issues. To support his clients, Paul maintains strong relationships with policy experts, research institutes, and think tanks.

Prior to joining DCI Group in 2005, he worked on political campaigns and as a writer and a research analyst for Houghton Mifflin, a national educational publishing company. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in Political Science and International Relations and a master’s degree from Northwestern University in Public Policy & Administration. Paul lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Rachel, and their four active children. In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, and staying active in the Arlington community.
