Washington, DC, veteran Carissa Faña has joined DCI Group as a Managing Director, bolstering the firm’s already industry leading Strategic Alliance practice. She will provide expertise in the areas of coalition building, third-party outreach, stakeholder engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

“I’m excited to join DCI Group – one of the best public affairs firms in the country – to help expand the company’s reach for its clients,” Faña said. “I’m proud that my role as a Strategic Alliance liaison will help ensure more voices are heard, allowing lawmakers to get a broader understanding of the implications proposed policies have on traditionally underserved and underrepresented populations.”

Prior to that, she managed Intuit’s external relations with policymakers, key stakeholders, and a broad coalition of national Latino and multicultural third-party organizations.  Earlier in her career, Carissa served in various roles at the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, the Dewey Square Group, and as Professional Staff for the House Small Business Committee and as a Senior Legislative Assistant to the current Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee.

“We’re proud to have Carissa join our growing Strategic Alliances team as we build on DCI Group’s cultural bedrock of execution,” Justin Peterson, DCI Group Managing Partner said. “Strong corporate growth allows us to bring on well qualified candidates like Carissa. Our best-in-class Strategic Alliances practice is already a differentiator for DCI Group – making us a more valuable partner for our clients; adding Carissa will add to that offering, making us even better.”
