Doug Goodyear is a founding partner of DCI Group. Under his leadership DCI Group grew from a single-client startup to one of the country’s largest independently owned public affairs firms with a host of Fortune 500 corporations and industry associations as clients. During his tenure, DCI became a full-service strategic communications firm with a strong international presence and has garnered national recognition for the thoroughness of its public policy campaigns and the prestige of its client list.

Before co-founding DCI Group in 1996 with Tim Hyde and Tom Synhorst, Doug served as vice president of Walt Klein and Associates in North Carolina, serving corporate and political clients. He also was active in campaign politics in Colorado in the 1980s, serving as political director for the state GOP. An avid baseball fan, Doug was a leader in the campaign that brought major league baseball to Denver, Colorado, in 1990, as well as the campaign to win voter approval for Denver International Airport in 1989.

Doug was raised in Naugatuck, Connecticut, where he first cut his teeth in local politics. He is a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Tufts University.

He lives in Arizona, with his wife, Carla and currently serves as a member of the Arizona Board of Regents.
