Sarah Benchaita is a director at DCI Group providing corporate communications and public affairs counsel to clients. She currently focuses on issues in the telecommunications, technology, and internet governance spaces, and has previously overseen communications strategy focused on energy, environmental, and transportation policy at the legislative and regulatory levels.
Prior to joining DCI Group in 2013, Sarah worked at the global communications agency Burson-Marsteller. There, she supported campaigns encompassing public relations, community engagement, and grassroots advocacy objectives on behalf of pharmaceutical, trade association, and government clients.
Sarah got her start in strategic communications at Edelman in their Washington, D.C., office. At Edelman, Sarah served on multiple healthcare campaigns for Fortune 500 pharmaceutical clients and companies in the medical device and non-profit spaces.
A native of Houston, Texas, Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with concentrations in corporate communications and political science, from Southern Methodist University where she also played Division 1 soccer for the Mustangs. She resides in Washington, D.C.
