DCI Group Announces Expanded Digital and Social Media Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – DCI Group, one of the largest independently held public affairs firms in the country, recently added five new members to their Digital and Social Media team. This team leads the firm’s efforts to create and execute digital strategies and social media campaigns that meet clients’ public affairs and public relations needs – helping to drive information and a narrative that is constructive to the public debate.

“Executing digital and social media campaigns are critical to informing key audiences whether they be policymakers, the public, or the media, and DCI Group continues to strengthen that capability in-house for our clients,” Doug Goodyear, DCI Group founder and CEO said. “We’re proud to have these five talented and creative individuals on our team.”

The five new members of DCI Group’s Digital and Social Media team are:

Lazlo Baksay. Lazlo joins as a Director on DCI Group’s Digital and Social Media team, bringing a decade of experience in the management and operations of digital campaigns. Lazlo was most recently a strategist for the U.S. Army at the Pentagon and also assisted the Department of State with their digital strategy. He studied political communication at the Central European University and is currently enrolled in the Integrated Marketing Communications graduate program at Georgetown University. His primary focus will be on developing digital advocacy strategies for DCI Group’s Fortune 100 companies and international clients. 

Chris Billeter. Chris is rejoining DCI Group as a Director on the Digital and Social Media team. He has over a decade of experience helping clients and campaigns use digital channels to achieve their goals. His work includes high-profile public affairs campaigns for some of the largest brands and industries in the country, issue advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels, and political campaign work as the Deputy Digital Director for the National Republican Congressional Committee. Chris returned to DCI Group after beginning his career in digital communications more than 10 years ago.

Catherine Summa. Catherine joins as a Senior Account Executive on DCI Group’s Digital and Social Media team. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and educated and trained in Washington, D.C., Catherine has a deep understanding of what it means to bring technology and policy together. At DCI Group, Catherine will continue building on her experience working with clients in highly regulated industries. She specializes in creating start-to-finish digital strategies, taking into account everything from websites and branding, to campaign execution and optimization, to reporting and analytics.

Chad DuBois. Chad, a graduate of Auburn University, joins DCI Group as an Account Manager on the Digital and Social Media team after working for a nonprofit foundation in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama. Chad has a passion for state and local government and advocates on behalf of clients for issues that impact the lives of people across the country. Before joining DCI Group, his past work includes STARZ Entertainment, Central Alabama Community Foundation, Miss America Organization, Auburn University, congressional campaigns, and he even ran for Montgomery City Council in 2019.

Mia Walsh-Serpico. Mia joins as an Account Associate on DCI Group’s Digital and Social Media team. With a background in politics and experience working on campaigns, she has a strong understanding of the importance of digital advocacy and public policy, as well as the effectiveness and merits of digital advertising. Originally from Boston, Mia interned with the Digital and Social Media team while pursuing her undergraduate degree at George Washington University and has been promoted to help support clients’ efforts in the ever-changing digital landscape.
