The prevalence of diabetes in the United States continues to grow – impacting over 34 million Americans (10.5% of the population).  More than likely, each of us has close family and friends that are currently living with diabetes.  If left unmanaged, diabetes can severely disrupt their quality of life or even lead to death.

For the past 10 years, led by DCI partner Dan Combs, DCI Group has sponsored and/or organized a team to take part in the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure.  This marquee event serves as an educational and fundraising event for the organization as they promote their mission to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.   

The 2021 Tour de Cure will be virtual ride/run and will take place on September 18, although Dan is likely to organize a “supported” in-person ride for those in the DC area on that date. Year after year DCI has consistently been one of the top fundraising teams and we hope we have a strong showing again this year.  Together, we can make a difference to find a cure for diabetes.
