DCI Group hosted the White House Hispanic Initiative Executive Director, Melody Gonzales, for a fireside chat about Hispanic Serving Institutions as “A Pathway to Collaboration and Innovation.”  HSIs play a key role in higher education and in providing a support system to the Latino community. 

Despite the growing numbers of HSIs across the country, experts have voiced a need for more exposure and collaboration in terms of innovative research – many students and many Latinos don’t know what it means to be an HSI. For many higher education leaders, HSIs are vital given the growth of the Latino population in the US and in the workforce.
