Carissa Faña

Carissa Faña serves as the Managing Director in DCI Group’s strategic alliances practice, specializing in coalition building, third-party outreach, stakeholder engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Before joining DCI Group, she held the position of Senior Government Relations Consultant at Becker & Poliakoff’s Federal lobbying practice. In that role, Carissa managed external and government relations for multiple clients engaging with policymakers, key stakeholders, and a diverse range of coalitions, including Latino and multicultural third-party organizations.

She also has an extensive background in public policy and government relations. She served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators and was previously an Associate at the Dewey Square Group, where she managed client accounts within the Multicultural practice.

Her early career included positions as Professional Staff for the House Small Business Committee and as a Senior Legislative Assistant to the Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee.

She is an active member of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association and PROSPANICA. Carissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a minor in French from Dickinson College and completed a Master’s in Public Administration at Baruch College, City University of New York, as a recipient of the Bernard Baruch graduate fellowship and National Urban Fellows program.
