Carissa Faña is a Managing Director in DCI Group’s strategic alliances practice. She provides expertise in the areas of coalition building, third-party outreach, stakeholder engagement and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Prior to joining DCI Group, she was a Senior Government Relations Consultant at Becker & Poliakoff’ Federal lobbying practice. Carissa previously managed Intuit’s external relations with policymakers, key stakeholders, and a broad coalition of national Latino and multicultural third-party organizations. She elevated Intuit as an industry thought leader by cultivating relationships and moving forward strategic agendas.
Ms. Faña served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators and was a former Associate at the Dewey Square Group where she managed client accounts in the Multicultural practice.
Prior to her work at Dewey Square, she served as Professional Staff for the House Small Business Committee and as a Senior Legislative Assistant to the current Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee.
Carissa is a member of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association (HLA) and is a member of PROSPANICA, a leading organization for Hispanic professional achievement. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and a minor in French from Dickinson College, in Carlisle PA.
She is a proud recipient of the Bernard Baruch graduate fellowship, National Urban Fellows from the City University of New York, Baruch College, where she completed a Master in Public Administration and studies in non-profit management.
